How do I create an account?
Download AstroDating on Google Play or open the web app at app.astrodatingapp.com. Sign up with email, Google, or Facebook, then add your birth date, time, and city so AstroDating can calculate your natal chart and compatibility insights.
Can I change my birth time after signing up?
Yes. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Birth Details. Changing your birth time recalculates your natal chart, so your rising sign, house placements, and compatibility scores may change.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app, or from the account deletion page on the website. Your profile, connections, messages, and account data are scheduled for permanent deletion.
Profiles & connections
How is compatibility calculated?
AstroDating uses synastry: the comparison of two natal charts. We look at planetary placements and major aspects to create compatibility insights. The score is a guide for reflection and conversation, not a guarantee of relationship success.
Why don't I see many profiles?
Try widening your distance or age range, completing your profile, adding photos, and filling in your relationship intent, values, lifestyle tags, prompts, voice intro, or icebreaker. A richer profile helps other people understand who you are before messaging.
Billing & Subscriptions
How do I manage my subscription?
It depends on where you subscribed. Android subscriptions are managed through Google Play. Web subscriptions are managed from Settings > Billing in the web app, where you can open the Stripe billing portal to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
Can I get a refund?
For Google Play subscriptions, refunds are handled by Google according to their policies. For web (Stripe) subscriptions, contact our support team through the contact form. We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Will my subscription auto-renew?
Yes. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel at any time from Google Play settings (Android) or from the billing page on the web app.
How do I use a promo code?
On Android, enter your promo code on the Plans screen before selecting a plan. On the web, enter the code during checkout. Promo codes may apply a discount or bonus access depending on the campaign.
Safety
How do I report a user?
Use the report option from a profile or chat, choose a reason, and add details. Reports help us review unsafe, fake, abusive, or policy-breaking behavior.
How do I block someone?
Use the block option from their profile or your chat. Blocked users cannot contact you or appear normally in your experience, and they are not notified that you blocked them.
Is my location shared with other users?
No. Your exact coordinates are never shown to other users. Location is only used to support discovery and approximate distance-based matching.
Astrology
Do I need to know my exact birth time?
For the most accurate chart, yes. Your birth time determines your rising sign and house placements. If you do not know the exact time, you can enter an approximate time, but some chart details and compatibility insights may be less precise.
What's the difference between sun sign and full chart compatibility?
Sun sign compatibility looks at one placement. Full-chart synastry looks at the broader natal charts, including placements and aspects, which gives a more nuanced way to explore how two people may connect.
Are the horoscopes personalized?
Yes. Premium horoscope features use your chart details rather than only your sun sign. They are designed as reflective guidance and entertainment, not as predictions or guarantees.
Web App & PWA
Can I use AstroDating on my computer?
Yes. Visit app.astrodatingapp.com to use AstroDating in your browser. You can discover profiles, chat, edit your profile, view astrology features, and manage web billing.
Can I install the web app on my phone?
Yes. On iPhone, open app.astrodatingapp.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, use Google Play for the native app or the browser install prompt when available.
Is my data synced between the app and the web?
Yes. Your profile, connections, messages, and subscription status are synced between mobile and web when you use the same account.
